Barack Obama is setting the tone for his coming administration. For Chief of Staff we will have the rascist (anti-Muslim) Rahm Israel Emanuel. According to this BBC Bio, Rahm's daddy was a member of Irgun until 1948. Irgun was classified as a terrorist group by the British colonial forces in Israel at the time. How far do the apples fall from the tree?
Secretary of State rumors for Hillary Clinton. I suspect she will want to keep her distance from Obama and not jeopardize her future Presidential aspirations. Also a current contender is the über obnoxious Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico.
According to this Associated Press story the government of Iraq has signed a pact to allow US troops to remain until 2012. (As if they had a choice.) The article continues... "Iraq's government has received U.S. assurances that the President-elect Barack Obama would honor the agreement"
If Obama is planning to get us out of Iraq anytime soon then why has he voiced his support of a draft?
"If we are going into war, then all of us go, not just some." -Presidential Forum at Columbia University. Sept 11, 2008
This just in. A new translation of a Nostradamus prophecy has come to my attention.
With the powers that be overseeing who gets in the news and how they are covered, it's hard for Grudge to get too excited about election 2008.
The big money is big enough to insure that no matter who wins this election America's puppetmasters will still be pulling the strings.
In a nation that is waging an unpopular war, that issue should be at the forefront. I don't see either candidate as being in any rush to end our occupations in the Middle East. The candidates may talk-the-talk that they want to get us out of the war, but any candidate that would actually walk-the-walk wouldn't even be on TV. No candidate that would make a difference will ever get fair coverage in the corporate media.
The Presidential Election of 1864 was a referendum on Abraham Lincoln's unpopular Civil War against the Confederate states. Lincoln's Democratic opponent, George B. McClellan, was the peace candidate. McClellan offered the nation a chance for a negotiated peace with the Confederates or prolonged bloodshed by re-electing Lincoln.
Lincoln's Republican Party adapted the slogan "Don't change horses in the middle of a stream." The nation chose to re-elect Lincoln for another term.
Here in 2008 we don't have the luxury of another horse to change too. No matter which candidate wins, a year from now we will still be waging our wars and feeding the fat cats cheap oil to soak us back at home. We are truly running a one horse race.
